The extraordinary Villa Covri is located in Istria, near the beautiful town of Novigrad. The villa takes its name from the Istrian village of Kovri, where it is also located, just 4 kilometres from the nearest beach.
The villa was built in the 16th century and completely restored in 2017 with high quality furniture and eco-friendly paint and materials. The old beams that have adorned this beautiful villa for centuries have also been restored, while the old stone has been repurposed. High quality marble from Istrian quarries was used to decorate the house.
The interior of this beauty consists of three floors that combine traditional Istrian style with modern industrial style, making the villa particularly inviting. The Golden Globe nominated film "ivot sa stricem" was shot here in 1987 before the renovation.

The open-plan living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen and a WC are located on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has a terrace with direct access to the garden. The other two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are located on the second floor.

The villa is surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean garden with lavender, rosemary and olive trees, where the refreshing private pool is waiting to invite you to relax in this beautiful oasis.

To complete your experience at this exceptional villa, the owners can offer various water sports at a discount. Yachts and other boats can also be arranged. For those who really want to relax - a top yoga teacher can come to the villa for a private or group session and offer massages as well as yoga classes.

Villa Covri was honoured with 2 awards in 2018: One is the prestigious Grandprix 2018 for the most beautiful rental house in Croatia - according to the votes of the public. The other award is for the BEST PROJECT 2018 Professional network for architects and designers Archilovers voted the Villa Covri project among the best projects worldwide in 2018. In 2019, the villa also received several awards, including the "Simply the Best" award for the best holiday accommodation in Croatia, as well as an award for the best villa in Croatia from the Croatian Tourist Board. The villa's mulberry tree was also nominated for an award! :)Brtonigla, a small town only 2 km away from Villa Covri, offers a different kind of holiday. The town with a rich tradition that begins in the vineyards, continues in wine cellars and finally ends at the rich table, is known for wine trails and marvellous olive oil. Numerous vineyards and olive groves lead to unspoilt meadows and forests, far away from the hustle and bustle of modern city life. Family cellars and tasting rooms invite you to discover the authentic power of the local way of life. The town offers the best of the Istrian inland - nature parks and caves, rich flora and fauna, picturesque hills, but also culture - churches, chapels and archaeological sites. A number of events take place in Brtonigla, the most important of which are the Chocolate and Wine Festival, the Istrian Malvazija Festival, Dani gljiva ("Days of Mushrooms") or, in summer, the Feast of St Roch and etno manifestations. From Brtonigla it is easy to reach the first Croatian water park Istralandia, as well as various beautiful beaches and the town of Novigrad.
