Welcome to Engerdal at the Isterfossen.

This dreamlike idyllic cabin is located 200 meters from Isterfossen, a great place for fly fishing. The waterfall has its own fly fishing zone and connects the lakes Isteren and Galten. You also have Lake Femund nearby.

From the cottage you can easily reach the two national parks in Engerdal municipality, Femundsmarka and Gutulia. Engerdal municipality also has Norway's southernmost reindeer grazing district. Therefore, you can often see local reindeer nearby, especially in winter when the winter pastures are closer to the lakes.

There are many opportunities for active outdoor living throughout the year, whether ice fishing, skiing or snowmobiling in the winter, or on the water, walking in the mountains or biking in the summer. The cottage owner has equipment for rent for all seasons by arrangement.

The area is also known for good berry picking or hunting opportunities. If you want to make a day trip to other places, you can reach Røros with exciting architecture and history after about 100 kilometers. A shopping trip to Idre in Sweden is also recommended.
