A ski slope is situated close by. You may even spot elk, deer and wolves in the forest. There is the possibility that you may even see a beaver near the house, especially in the bright summer nights. The 'Bergslagsladen' trail also passes nearby and is a fantastic 17 stages long. The house, which was built in the 19th century as a mission house in the centre of Dammen, is located near a moose park. The house Koppaberg has a 17th century centre; also it is a mining town with interesting ruins situated in the neighbouring forest. In the vicinity, there is National History Museum in Stjärnfors.
