„Poggio Mirteto is a lovely village with several food stores within a few kilometers reach, if you are looking for local Italian specialties like wine,meat,cheese you can find it here also. Other shopping like clothes and such you need to go elsewhere. From the house you can walk downtown but on your way back to the house its all up. We would recommend a rental car for shopping and for daily excursions. In the area the owner of the house showed us a local winery but maybe you should visit in September to get the best of that. Nearby there are many small villages to see for the interested with much history and culture, the Italian's are very friendly but know very little English so that's a challenge. Wonderful nature around the area and on a clear day you can see all the way to Rome from the patio.“
